Shirley Babashoff was born on
January 31, 1957 she won a total of 8 individual medals along with 2 gold
relay medals.by some she was considered a failure because she never won an
gold medal in an individual event.In 1972 she won 1 gold medal in the 4x100
freestyle relay and 2 silver medals.In 1976 she also won the gold medal in the
4x100 freestyle relay.
