The King Cobra can reach  lengths 18ft long and raise one-third of its body off the ground while attacking. The hiss they make sounds like a growling dog!!!!!!!! Their venom is lethal, but they are shy and avoid humans and are aggressive only when cornered. They have a life span of about 20 years in the wild and live in India, Southern China, and Southeast Asia. They eat other snakes, lizards, eggs, and small mammals.
