U-995 is the only surviving type VII submarine. It was commissioned on September 16 1943. U-995 U-995
Past: Sunk three ships. Present: lies in a museum. Future: will probably stay in that museum.
It went on nine patrols until being surrendered  to the British and then transferred to the Norwegian navy. It was brought back to Germany in October, 1971. It can dive up to 336m.
