Is it an alligator or a crocodile?
The way you can the difference between an alligator and a crocodile is by the shape of the snout. A crocodile has a long V-shaped snout while an alligator has a short U-shaped snout. You can also tell by the way they close their mouths. If you can still see alot of  teeth when it closes its mouth, its a crocodile. If not its an alligator. There are many other ways to classify which is which, but these are the main methods. They're carnivores which means that they only eat meat.
What are the characteristics of the Nile Crocodile?
The nile crocodile is the largest African crocodilian. They can grow up to five meters and even six meters in rare cases. They can weigh up to 775 kilograms or about 1,500 pounds. Males weigh 30% more than females. Juvenile crocodiles are dark olive brown with black cross banding on the tail and body. The banding grows fainter as they become adults.
What is the habitat of the Nile crocodile?

he like to live in lakes, rivers, fresh water swamps, and brackish water. They modify their habitat by digging dens with their snouts and feet. They use this for the temperature changes.

The nile crocodile is part of the endangered species list as well. Humans are the biggest threat to these amazing animals. We hunt them for their skin to make shoes, belts, bags, and many other things. Other animals also hunt this animal. Animals such as lions, elephants, leopards, and hippos eat the nile crocodile.
